Live Poultry Shipping Policy 🐣

At Chicken Breeds For Sale, we take shipping live poultry seriously. Every chick, pullet, or hatching egg is packaged with care to ensure it arrives healthy and safe.

  • Shipping Method: All birds are shipped via USPS Priority Mail or approved live animal carriers.

  • Schedule: Orders are shipped based on hatch dates and weather conditions to ensure bird safety.

  • Packaging: Birds are placed in ventilated, secure boxes with heat packs (if needed).

  • Notification: Customers will receive an email with tracking details as soon as the order ships.

  • Pickup: In most cases, live poultry is held at your local post office for pickup. Customers must collect promptly upon arrival.

👉 Live Arrival Guarantee: We guarantee live delivery of your order when picked up within 8 hours of arrival notice.

Delivery & Restrictions

  • Coverage: We currently ship across the United States, with some restrictions in extreme weather or states with additional poultry import rules.

  • Weather Delays: Orders may be postponed during very hot or cold conditions for bird safety.

  • Bulk Orders: Bulk poultry orders may require additional lead time.

Returns & Refund Policy

Because we ship live animals, returns are not possible. However, we stand by our Live Arrival Guarantee.

If You Experience Losses:

  • Contact us within 24 hours of delivery.

  • Provide photos of the loss inside the original shipping box.

  • Email details to sales@chickenbreedsforsale.com with your order number.

Once reviewed, we will offer:

  • Replacement chicks on the next available hatch date, OR

  • Credit toward a future order if replacements are not possible.

Hatching Eggs Policy

  • Hatch rates cannot be guaranteed due to factors outside our control (incubation methods, handling, climate).

  • We guarantee eggs are fresh, properly handled, and carefully packaged before shipping.

  • Broken eggs upon arrival must be reported within 24 hours with photos for credit or replacement.

Cancellations

  • Orders can be cancelled up to 48 hours before scheduled shipping.

  • Once chicks are set for hatch and shipping, cancellations cannot be processed.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Be available to pick up your poultry as soon as your local post office calls.

  • Provide a safe, warm brooder or housing before your shipment arrives.

  • Follow all local and state poultry import regulations.
